Time to work on your networking skills!

Networking is part of your job. When meeting new potential business partners, ambassadors, employers or clients, it’s essential that you can tell a compelling story tailored to your audience. This requires a combination of listening and storytelling skills. In this workshop, we’ll work on both.

This session is especially designed for HAN Molecular Science students as a warm-up to the SMB Network meeting later that day, providing the perfect opportunity to immediately practice your newly learned networking skills. Of course, other interested participants are more than welcome to join!

We start by fine-tuning and adapting your story for any audience. Then, we practice how to tell this story effectively in a networking setting. This includes identifying the right people, starting conversations, and, just as importantly, knowing when and how to exit a conversation when it’s not the right fit. You’ll also learn when and how to follow up successfully after a meeting.

This will be an interactive & fun workshop with ample opportunities to test and refine new versions of your story and tactics. One thing is guaranteed: by the end of the session, at least 10 people in your network will be able to share a version of your story. #NetworkingStartsNow

Last Tuesday, entrepreneurs gathered for an inspiring workshop hosted by Briskr and Lizanne Jakobs, Business Coach, Speaker Founder/Oprichter Brilliant Work.
The session, titled Making Strategic Choices for a Successful 2025!, focused on setting concrete goals and crafting effective strategies to help businesses succeed in the upcoming year and the years to come.

The key takeaway from the workshop was powerful: set clear goals, make them SMART, and design a focused strategy to achieve them. Participants learned how to prioritize tasks, eliminate distractions, and ensure their time, budget and energy are invested in activities that drive business growth.

Key points covered included:
– How to set and prioritize actionable business goals.
– Visualizing strategies to stay focused and productive.
– Avoiding the trap of getting stuck in daily operations.
– Exploring various subsidies to support business growth, from startup guidance to employee development and export advice.

Of course there was also plenty of time for networking and one-on-one discussions with Lizanne, allowing participants to dive deeper into their specific challenges and opportunities.

With new strategies in hand and fresh inspiration, attendees left ready to make 2025 their most successful year yet.
