Semiconductors as AI enabler – a sparkling session at INNOVATE!
During today’s INNOVATE Experience in Musis & Stadstheater Arnhem, the Lifeport Semicon Network hosted one of the parallel sessions: Semiconductors as AI enabler, organised together with Role It Out Women.
Speakers Souad Boutane (Data Scientist at NXP Semiconductors) and Núria Barceló i Peiró (Head of Dutch Public Collaborative Programs at NXP) shared how semiconductors make AI possible — and how AI is reshaping the semiconductor industry itself. From smarter production and faster innovation to reducing environmental impact, they showed how technology and creativity go hand in hand.
To top it off, participants could experience AI in action through our AI-driven cocktail robot, which mixed and served colourful mocktails — a perfect example of human ingenuity and machine intelligence blending seamlessly.
This inspiring session offered a taste (literally!) of what’s to come at the Lifeport Semicon Event 2026, taking place on January 27, 2026, at Goffert stadion Gemeente Nijmegen. Innovation clearly tastes best with a dash of AI!
