This year we organise every month a walk-in for health and hightech companies.

Rienk works as intellectual property (IP) advisor for the Netherlands Patent Office and is eager to help start-ups and SMEs with their questions on IP-rights in the broadest sense of the word. The Netherlands Patent Office is an official Dutch government body whose main goal is to stimulate innovation in the Netherlands. It does so by providing support and guidance to business owners, the services sector, scientists, researchers, teachers, and students. You can consult with Rienk about any patent-related queries or other ways to protect your IP. The services provided are confidential, free-of-charge, and without commercial interest.

Masterclass ‘Hoe kijken investeerders en kredietverstrekkers naar uw onderneming?

Bent u een ondernemer en wilt u meer weten over hoe een financiële investeerder of een kredietverstrekker naar uw onderneming kijkt? Dan is de Masterclass ‘Hoe kijken investeerders en kredietverstrekkers naar uw onderneming’ wellicht iets voor u.

Doel van de masterclass
Het doel van de masterclass is om u te leren denken als een financiële investeerder en als kredietverstrekker. We willen u inzicht geven in de manier waarop een investeerder naar een onderneming kijkt en hoe zij de waarde van een onderneming bepalen. Ook leert u welke elementen cruciaal zijn bij de waardecreatie van uw onderneming. Daarnaast gaan we kijken naar de financierbaarheid van een onderneming en leren wij u te kijken door de bril van de financier (bankier). Deze inzichten kunnen u helpen bij het nemen van strategische beslissingen voor uw onderneming.

Deze masterclass kunt u op verschillende momenten volgen. U heeft de keuze uit de volgende data en locaties:

Het programma van de masterclass ‘Hoe kijken investeerders en kredietverstrekkers naar uw onderneming’ bestaat uit twee delen. In het eerste deel gaan we dieper in op bedrijfswaardering en waardecreatie. Hierbij komen verschillende methoden van bedrijfswaardering aan bod en leert u hoe u deze kunt toepassen op uw onderneming. In het tweede deel van de masterclass gaan we dieper in op de prijs van een investering en de financierbaarheid.

Aansluitend op de masterclass (vanaf 19.30 uur) zal er voor een buffet worden gezorgd. Dieetwensen kunt u bij de registratie vermelden.

THE QUANTUM INTERNET UNVEILED

exploring the next frontier in communication and computation

‘Quantum’. You’ve heard the word. From Marvel’s Ant-man to Google’s claims of supremacy, ‘quantum’ seems synonymous to ‘magic’, and it is transforming our technology day by day. Today, quantum computers have been developed with various types of qubits and the next quantum revolution lies in connecting these globally through an entanglement-based network – that is, ‘the quantum internet’. Just as the classical internet fundamentally altered our lived reality, the quantum internet could change the world in ways we’ve yet to conceive of. Game-changing applications we are working towards today include quantum communication, secured by the laws of the universe, and powerful networked quantum computing. The age of quantum has arrived and it’s here to stay, which again begs the question: What does ‘quantum’ mean? For our computers? For our internet? For us?

At the leading QuTech research institute in Delft, a diversity of experts is pioneering this new era. On September 16, in the Science Café, three of these experts – Tzula Propp, Wojciech Kozlowski, and Arian Stolk – will guide us through the various aspects of the quantum internet. Propp will introduce us to some foundational concepts of quantum mechanics and what they mean for computation and communication technology. Kozlowski will then take us deeper, exploring the cutting-edge design, architecture, and real-world applications of the quantum internet. Stolk will bring the discussion full circle by demonstrating the physical realization of this technology, bridging the gap between theory and reality.

This evening, alongside riveting scientific discussion, Deltatune and Jeroen Glas will immerse us in their mesmerizing mix of glassware sound objects and lo-fi video, driven by home-crafted electronic leads and beats. Come join the launch of the new Science Café season!
